Throwback: blue summer mini dress with red stiletto heels in the summer of 2017

It's April and in the last couple of weeks, we had summer temperatures, snow, more summer days and snow and hailstones. I know the weather can change but this is ridiculous! :-O

Anyway, this a little bit of a throwback blog-post in the sense that I posted this outfit before.

But back then I only posted 2 pics while also posting other outfits. Yet since then, this blue dress with red heels has become one of my most favourite outfits ever! So I just thought I'd dedicate a blog-post to this one outfit.

Black leather dress.. and the eternal question: black or red heels?

January is almost over and here's my second post of the year. How did 2020 start for you? I started my new job and so far, it's been very nice! In a couple of weeks, I'll be going on my snowboarding trip (don't know whether this will be the last one.. this all depends on the new job).

Anyway, about this leather dress, I really liked it when I saw it online! :-D

As soon as it arrived, I loved the fabric.. the smell! And as soon as I tried it on.. I felt so powerful!

Of course, when wearing a leather black dress like this.. the age-old question is: "Should I wear black or red heels with it?"

To settle this question, I asked my audience at Instagram. And they responded!

43% liked the outfit with black heels.. but more importantly: 57% preferred the red heels. Can't say I was surprised but I still love the black heels myself. It just makes my legs look soooo long!!

My plan is to do another leather outfit photo/video shoot at the Belgian village of Doel. Some of you might remember my previous photo/video shoot with the leather skirt and jacket paired with my boots. A lot of people loved those pics and video!!

Yellow and red in noisy Rotterdam

So.. once again, it's been a hot minute since my last blog-post! Sadly, last month. there was a death in the family overseas and that meant that my parents and siblings had to drop everything and book tickets to fly to my family.

While that was obviously a sad occasion, it was very nice to be with all my aunts/uncles and cousins and the rest of the extended family. It also didn't hurt that I was in a tropical country with good food instead of the cold rainy Netherlands.

It's no surprise that during these autumn weeks, I look back to my summer days.. like the one when I wore this bright yellow dress !

If you're reading this, you know I love simple colour combinations: black/white, black/red, etc. Yellow with red doesn't seem to happen that often, but I really think it looks sexy!

And I definitely felt like a lot of people were noticing my outfit, so I guess it is quite uncommon!

I'm sure that if this cute summer dress had a pattern with berries on it, I would have gone with something like berrylicious! What? Is that not a real word? Ah well!

Anyway, red with a splash of green.. that's what this outfit is all about! The dress has been in my wardrobe for a couple of years, but I tend to only bring it out when the weather is nice. So here's to hoping that September will bring another couple of beautiful warm days!

I was visiting a park in Arnhem with my friend Sara. Obviously, it being so warm, it was quite refreshing to take off the heels and get my feet in the water and mud near this mini waterfall.

Just sitting here. :-P

Every now and then, one has got to take a rest from all the tiring and exhausting modelling! :-D

These days, I'm trying to be more sensible and wear sneakers or flip-flops when I'm just walking around looking for nice spots to take photos and videos. It's not that I can't wear heels for a full day.. but I would like my feet to function when I'm (hopefully) 60 years old!

So, check back in a couple of months if I will be wearing this dress again.. perhaps with another pair of red heels! ;-)
